UV DISINFECTION SYSTEMS
Ultraviolet (UV) is a disinfection method that kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms by exposing them to UV rays. Because disinfection is carried out without the use of heat or chemicals, it does not alter the taste or composition of the water. The killing of microbes depends on the intensity of the light and the duration of contact. UV rays with a wavelength of 254 nm kill 99% of all pathological microorganisms.
It's crucial that these systems be installed as close to their intended use as possible. Furthermore, water from the system should not enter a separate unit, particularly one open to the atmosphere, and should be used immediately.
